Driving under the influence of drugs
There are strict drug driving laws regarding the use of over-the-counter, prescribed and illegal drugs. It is illegal to drive with any drug in your system if it damages your ability to drive safely, just as it is illegal to drive while over the specified limits of certain illegal drugs (these limits are low, but exist to allow for the possibility of small quantities accidentally entering your bloodstream, such as by passive smoking).
New powers allow the police to test drivers for cannabis and cocaine at the roadside, while other illegal substances, such as ecstasy, LSD and heroin, can be laboratory tested. Also, the police may conduct a roadside field impairment test, which includes checking for pupil dilation and asking drivers perform certain tasks, such as walking in a straight line or standing on one leg. As an example of the police’s push to catch drivers, Cheshire drug driving arrests rose by 800% between 2015 and 2016.

I was charged with drink driving and my case looked hopeless. There was witness evidence and forensic evidence. From my first meeting with Abdul he reassured me that we could win the case. Abdul was fantastic and the end result is that I am a happy man as I have kept my driving licence and my job. Scott McDonald.
I was initially somewhat sceptical about keeping my licence, I was stopped for Drink Driving and the costs were high, but the result was excellent, and the money was certainly well spent. I would not hesitate to use DFR again. Michael A.
I had never been in court previously, and the prospect was terrifying. I was stopped for Drink Driving, and was looking at a significant disqualification. The result in the circumstances was unbelievable, the solicitor was excellent in presenting my case and explaining the extenuating circumstances. I was overjoyed with the final result.NM
